Ethical / Animal Rights

Abolitionist Approach – The mission of this website is to provide a clear statement of an approach to animal rights that (1) requires the abolition of animal exploitation and rejects the regulation of animal exploitation; (2) is based only on animal sentience and no other cognitive characteristic, (3) regards veganism as the moral baseline of the animal rights position; and (4) rejects all violence and promotes activism in the form of creative, non-violent vegan education.

Friends of Animals – Friends of Animals is a non-profit, international animal advocacy organization, incorporated in the state of New York since 1957. Friends of Animals works to cultivate a respectful view of nonhuman animals, free-living and domestic. Our goal is to free animals from cruelty and institutionalized exploitation around the world.

FarmSanctuary.org – Their mission is to protect farm animals from cruelty, inspire change in the way society views and treats farm animals, and promote compassionate vegan living.

Compassion over Killing – Compassion Over Killing (COK) is a national nonprofit 501(c)(3) animal advocacy organization headquartered in Washington, DC, with an additional office in Los Angeles, CA. Working to end animal abuse since 1995, COK focuses on cruelty to animals in agriculture and promotes vegetarian eating as a way to build a kinder world for all of us, both human and nonhuman.

Vegetarian Resource Group – The Vegetarian Resource Group (VRG) is a leading source of credible, practical, and scientifically based information about veganism and vegetarianism.

Forks over Knives – Forks Over Knives was launched in 2011 as a feature documentary. Backed by scientific research, the film presents a radical but convincing case that modern diseases can be prevented, halted, and often reversed by leaving animal-based and highly refined foods off the plate … and adopting a whole-food, plant-based diet instead.
